The day after the funeral we had the opportunity to spend the day up at Snowbird Resort. Oh what a much needed day that was! Things had been so busy and frantic the whole week trying to get all the arrangements made (who knew there was so much planning to be done for a funeral?), we barely had any time to process or even think, for that matter. So it was wonderful to be able to escape for the day. No phone calls, no funeral "business", no house overflowing with sympathy flowers... just a day to relax, talk and even play a little.
Ha ha! I love that bottom picture (no pun intended).Uncle Brett is so great with the grandkids. They just love him!
*It really did bite him, btw. How do ya like that??
I'm so glad we were able to take that time as a family to get away for a little while. It was so healing to escape all the responsibilities and the "to do's" and instead, enjoy each other's company, laugh together, mourn together and take a breath of fresh air together.

So glad you had some good family time together. Family is what it's all about.
That picture of London and Kyle is adorable. You'll notice that Isaac got the most air on the swimming pool toss :)
I'm so glad that you have a really supportive family to be with in this difficult time in your life. It looks like you guys just love being together. Only 9 1/2 months until that might be a regular thing. Should I make a paper chain?
