Day 3

On the last day of our trip, we woke up early and hit the water park for one last hurrah! before hitting the road. The kids couldn't get enough of the place and I hated to drag them away but we wanted to visit Jamestown, Virginia Beach, and VA Living Museum before returning home.

The museum was a very "hands on" experience with plenty to see and touch from sea creatures indoors to bald eagles, and even wolves outdoors. No, we didn't touch the wolves. =D

Can you see heaven through binocs?

Getting to this lighthouse was quite the adventure. First, we had to sit in traffic for an hour and a half (thank goodness for the beautiful oceanic view) to get to the beach before we ended up driving through some crazy military base where they made us all (sleeping children included!) "evacuate our vehicle" while they thoroughly searched our car, and checked our ID. Slightly intimidating but I really wanted to see a lighthouse so Andy made it happen. See how much my husband loves me?!
